Brazil, Indiana, Lions Club works to raise funds and provide vision screening services for young children across the state of Indiana.

Monthly meeting- 6:00pm on the 2 nd Thursday of the month. Location- YMCA

Annual Golf Scramble Fundraiser in August.
Service Projects:
Vision Screening- school-age and Operation Kidsight.
RAP (Reading Action Program)- free books given to each child at the Operation
KidSight vision screenings.
Assistance with eye exams and glasses for youth.
Eyeglass Recycling- several collection boxes in town for used eyeglasses.
Cell Phone Recycling- collected in the eyeglass recycling boxes.
Hearing Aids Recycling- collected in the eyeglass recycling boxes.
Empty Prescription Bottle Recycling- collected for the Indiana Cyber Lions Club’s service project.
Keys for Cancer- keys collected at the local hardware store and can be put in the eyeglass recycling boxes.
Liberty Day Indiana- annual program to educate local 8 th grade history students about the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Each student receives a pocket-sized copy of the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing- members annually volunteer to ring the bells during the holiday season.
Christmas Wreaths and Christmas Cards- given to a local nursing home.
Brazil Main Street Route 40 Fest- club distributes free water during the annual festival.
Senior Pen Pals- members of the club send short notes monthly to the local nursing home residents.
